Post angiogram

I had an angiogram yesterday & everything came back normal. No problems. Today I just feel dizzy , heaviness on chest bit shaky. It may just be anxiety. When I eat something I feel better. Does anyone else feel like this after an angiogram?

I did indeed.An angiogram can feel like "production line" surgery in the way it's carried out, in some ways I think this makes it appear to quite an every day simple procedure.

It's not.

You've undergone a big procedure and the arteries in your heart have been subjected to very high forces when the stents were "inflated".

I was surprised how tired I was for quite a few weeks after the procedure.

I also felt an ache in my heart for a couple of months.

I've just had my 5th stent and if anyone actually gets to the point of asking how I am, basically say, oh, just another stent. This one was so difficult to handle, maybe where it was, or they had to do ballooning (angioplasty). At first I did push myself, now gp said to take it easy on myself, give myself time. I do get pain, but not angina, it's just my heart rebelling against being invaded. Take time to smell the roses!! Enjoy every moment. Breathe.

You must have had the angiogram for a reason? Were you having symptoms before it?

It too will pass. The scan was clear is what you need to concentrate on. I felt horrible for days after mine...mind you I was just about to have OHS.

I was absolutely fine after my two. Stents the first time, nothing the second. It's probably just a build up of the anxiety you felt waiting for it but as JohnH100 said it's a shock to your system so it could just be from everything being disturbed.
