I gather from what you say that the entry route is via your groin? Are you sure it is not infected? If you cannot see or feel then seek further attention ASAP to be on the safe side.

You will be quite badly bruised and this is normal. It will pass but if gets any worse then seek further help.

Hi

I had same but through the vein in my wrist. They do say it can be painful and tender in the groin are afterwards.

At first some days I was really shattered, so much just couldn't do anything, this would just come on in middle of the afternoon even when I hadn't been doing much.

Spoke to Dr and they said it was normal, it did pass after a few weeks.

Same here, in via the wrist. I could see the bruising of the artery and it ached for several weeks.

Hi I had mine via wrist and yes it was tender for a while. I was tired but at the time I just put that down to the fact that I had been really stressed about the procedure beforehand and it was the aftermath of that. Best to get it checked if doesn’t get any better. Pat

Hi , I had two angios over two days and tbe used the same arm. Nearly 3 months later I still have pain in my arm and the arm is very week. The first few weeks were torture with the most horrendous pain. It is much better now ,but it was extremely painful . Think its just your luck , but good luck .

I had a angiogram last July via the wrist ended up with them doing it through the groin . Arm was bruised up to my elbow and the pain lasted about 3 months. Had no problem with groin. Hope you soon feel better.
