Heart spasms or whatever.

Keep getting sudden heart spasms , Make me really jump up and go o I have GTN spray but they keep happening. Any ideas what it is? I feel wrist pulse and seems to go erratic before returning to normal low pulse. Been getting more frequent and some achy feeling in between . Quite concerning.

Just a thought coronary vasospasms can be made worse by beta blockers.

I live with vasospastic angina, I experience ' heart spasms ' transient, constrictions of the blood vessels in my heart. These occur at rest and often wake me at night.

They can be very unpredictable.

They feel like being in labour to me. Coronary vasospasms are notoriously longer and more painful than angina due to permanent blockages.

I suggest you contact your Cardiologist.

Keep a log of your symptoms and see if you identify any triggers.

Common ones are mental, emotional and physical stress.

Cold weather or a sudden change in the weather.

The recent storms caught me out.
