Need advice
Hello
I am also a very bad anxiety sufferer and when I started with my heart problems I was put on a huge cocktail of meds which I also have a med fear so I know how this will worry you
But I had to keep telling myself as severe as my anxiety was I had to beat the anxiety and take them as my heart was more important and if we are told to take them itis for the best
Just tell yourself a day at a time and that one tablet is not going to harm you but help you
When you have taken one accept the anxiety you may feel but know the more you take them and your anxiety realises you are safe the anxiety will soon fade away
I am pleased you will hopefully get reassurance speaking with your Doctor tomorrow and be able to tell them how you feel x
Sounds like a bit of a vicious circle. Your anxiety probably raises it. I hope talking to the doctor helps. They will have started you on a low dose, and it may need tweaking. I hope the ECG helps reassure you.
Hello! Maybe the dosage your doctor prescribed is too low, but as far as I am aware many types of beta blockers exist. Some act very fast, some others over days. I've been taking bisoprolol for many years, and it's not an aspirin or a paracetamol that you take and it works straight away.
Hi, I had a problem slowing my heart rate even resting and was using my spray more than the GP was happy about. He prescribed me a nitrate tablet which I take twice a day and this seems to be helping. I don't get as much discomfort in the ticker in stressful situations now and the palpitations have eased in intensity as well.Ask your GP if this may be an option for you.
I take Bisoprolol 10 mgs every morning and Isosorbide mononitrate 20 mgs twice a day after starting at 10 mgs twice a day. A long list of other stuff as well and am ticking along.
If your anxiety level is a critical or chronic problem for you, remember the anxiety itself can't hurt you, it's how you handle it that is important.😽 Contact your local Mindsmatter or Single point of access to mental health services to see if they will accept a self referral. Good luck going forward in learning skills to help you with the anxiety I know how brutal this can be.
