Different tests

Hi,I have been reading a lot and I find a lot of people have different tests i have only had a stress echocardiogram, but a lot of people have had things like scans angiography x-rays etc,the technician said my heart is ok,but I can't stop heart meds till gp receives a letter.

Tests depend on what they are looking for they are just information gathering procedures. Sometimes they can get the information they need from just one test.

Interesting comment re Meds the Technician is not in a position to give you information they only know what is in front of them, wait forthe Cardiologist who requested the test to write to your GP !! or did your GP request the Echo ( I don't know if a GP can request a stress echo ?? )

Gp referred me to cardio and then cardiologist referred me for echocardiogram for which the echocardiogram technician said my heart was ok i did all the levels on the stress test, I have got a hiatus hernia same symptoms of anjina which can be painful.

I had several tests but it was the stress test that gave me the answers.

Hello Radars

A year and a half after my heart attak and stent I asked my cardiologist how I could find out how much recovery my heart has made. He said that a stress echocardiogram was the best choice. I trust him and it did.

We’re do you go for that , I had heart attack and stent fitted three years ago no information since .

I live in Malaysia and so I have no choice but to pay for private treatment. Fortunately consultants rates are cheaper here than in the UK.
