Bisoprolol effects

Does anyone get an ache in their left shoulder and clavicle area with the tablets.I’m on 1.25 mg and they cured my ectopic beats but I’m now suffering with this ache on the shoulder,wondering if it’s one of the side effects?

It’s so hard to say isn’t it , and to easy to blame medication. But we all react to drugs in different ways,

Have you been on the medication for a longtime? 1.25mg is the lowest dose of Bisoprolol.

But without a doubt it is worth speaking to your Dr/Heart team about it.

I’ve been on them since Xmas but in the last couple of weeks developed the ache,could be coincidental.

As you are on the minimum dose it is more likely she or injury related. Does pain relief help. Obviously set your GP if it continues.

Paracetamol helps a little but the ache always seems to be there .

I was on 1.25 dose and gained 29kg weight which I have now lost as cardiologist put me on Ivabradine 2.5 instead. Bisoprolol gave me very painful kidney stones, also gone now. Take care x

Oh dear I have put weight on but didn’t associate it with the tablets .

It slows your metabolism as well as your heart infortunately!!

Hi - I just came on here to search Bisoprolol and chest pain and saw your post. I am getting left shoulder (clavicle) pain too. I’m getting a lot of weird aches and pains in the left side around my heart and also above it. Nothing majorly painful but definitely something non aware of. I’m on 1.25mg too xx

How long have u been on it? I started on mine at Xmas ,was ok for a few weeks then about 2/3 weeks ago started with the shoulder pain.It feels like cramp all around the left side,even under my armpit too.Right side is perfect,I thought I had found a wonder drug as it stopped my ectopic heartbeats straight away,but now this.I’m seeing a cardiologist in March so hopefully they can give me some answers to see what’s causing this weird pain.

I've been on it since the end of Nov. I've was ok at first too but now getting the left sided aches. My right side is totally fine too. It almost feels like someone is squeezing my heart. Very weird. I'm also getting the aches up into my neck and around my back. I've got a hiatus hernia so I'm wondering if this is contributing to it. Do you suffer with reflux at all? x
