Sub dural haemorrhage .

My husband is having surgery tomorrow. This is his 2 nd one. Any advice? Anyone has had reoccurrence? Risks?? Prevention of reoccurring Please share your knowledge and experience. He is on warfarin. For mitral valve replacement.

What is his surgery for? Is it urgent /life saving?I would think you can only decide on that basis plus taking the advice of the surgeons in charge of your husbands healthWhat are they saying?.

Have I missed the point?Your husband is having surgery to memove the haemorrage ?

Thank you for replying. Yes he is having surgery to remove the bleed. They have stopped his warfarin to proceed with surgery. They will start warfarin post surgery. I was told that the risks of brain haemorrhage is high because of being on warfarin and his age 69. I s there anything he & I could do to at home to prevent or minimise further bleeds
