Dear Pansypot1

A warm welcome to you and your first post.

Sorry to hear about your fidgety legs, yes they could be apart of your medication side effects but I’m not medically trained so cannot link the two for you.

It maybe well to contact your pharmacist who will be able to look up your medication and see if your symptoms are listed as a side effect .

A lot of us know what it’s like to be sleep deprived , regardless of what may cause it.

If it’s “ restless leg syndrome “ then I suffered with this a while back and was recommended soaking in a bath with magnesium powder in it { believe creams are available} and it worked for me.

But before you go down that line { should you want to try it } you must check with your GP/ pharmacist that you can use it with the medications you are on.

I really hope that it is sorted for you and once more you can relax into a good nights sleep.

Thinking of you

Hi Pansypot1,

I also use topical magnesium like Hidden , only I use an oil spray on my legs.

Restless Legs is often a symptom Iron deficiency, so you should ask your GP to test you for this.

Wishing your ribs a speedy recovery.

That’s really helpful! Nellie. Thank you. You just made the link for me between starting Iron tabs just over two months ago (for other reasons), and restless legs reducing enormously, thank you so much! Does the magnesium spray work for you?

It’s a v tough symptom, isn’t it?

Hi Pansypot1, I hope you are feeling better. Not sure if you are on any meds for anti nausea, just to say one of those meds played havoc with my legs during the night, I could not lie still. As soon as I stopped the medication, thank goodness it disappeared. As someone said sleep deprivation is not something we need. Take care and let us know how you get on, Judi

Hi I sympathise having fidgety legs is an absolute nightmare, mine eventually spread to my arms. I was anaemic and eventually required an iron infusion. I had the infusion in Oct and within 2 weeks the fidgety legs were gone. It is such a relief to be able to sit and read a book or watch TV without the awful jumping legs. I am now anaemic again and legs are getting a wee bit fidgety.

I have no idea how often you can get iron infusions but I’m hoping to know soon, Good luck.
