Experiences of Cardiology and Pacemaker Clinic in Edinburgh?

We are looking to relocate and are trying to select a part of the country where the cardiology care and pacemaker clinic care is good. Currently I access Leeds which is the regional centre for Yorkshire and is pretty good on the whole. Was looking at Edinburgh area and wondered how people had found their care and treatment here?

I found the inpatient care in the Cardiology Dept of Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh was absolutely excellent in early 2021 and also the follow-up care at the Pacemaker Clinic. In fact the care I received at every level was excellent, from the Paramedics, A&E, Medical Assessment Unit and finally transfer to the Cardiology Suite.......the NHS at its very best.

I live on the west coast outside Glasgow, so our heart hospital for the west coast and the islands is the Golden Jubilee. Have a look on line it’s a beautiful hospital.

Thanks for your comments. I will definitely take a look. I had seen that a really good cardiologist listed through BHF links was at this hospital.

Happy New Year to you

Had my surgery at the Golden Jubilee, we have quite a few forum members who have been there. Including a heart transplant. Their Restaurant is amazing, and you eat that food as an inpatient. There is also an hotel attached for those who have to travel from the islands you don’t even have to walk outside there is a covered walkway.
