Hi, I had a stent fitted at the beginning of December. I am still feeling an occasional tugging sensation in my chest that seems to get worse if I stand up for too long, this seems morel likely to happen at the end of the day.
I also have found when preparing dinner that if I stand up for more than 5 or 10 minutes continuously, or even work on a stool for too long, I will then get pain under my ribs later. This pain then can last for several hours, even into the following day on a few occasions. I rang 999 when this happened a week after fitting the stent, they kept me in for a day. The ECGs were clear but there was very mildly elevated troponin-33 (sorry did not get unit of measurement) which dropped while I was in hospital.
I am taking 80 mg of atoravastatin daily and I wondered if this could be the cause-I have also had pain in bed on the side I lie on which is similar to the pain I described above-I am managing this by proping myself up with pillows & cushions and that seems to help.
I will discuss this with my GP but would appreciate hearing other people's thoughts & experiences.
