A very cold nose and runa lot
Bisoprolol I have read can be the cause of what some GPs refer to as " Old Man's Drip "
Merry Christmas
Hi sanpedro lovely to hear from you, hope you're doing ok apart from the runny nose.
And the answer to your question is an absolute yes! Kevin's nose is constantly running, I think his bisoprolol is the culprit!
Hi thank you I am OK as you know some bad days but mostly good .My son has just got his masters with distinction and now going for P H D .My wife hasn't bin well and he has looked after us also has done all the cleaning he is a star ,Nice to speak again and will change from bisoporol ASAP Hope you and Kevin and your family have a good Christmas x
Nice to hear from you Sanpedro. Is the runny nose recent? If so I suggest you do a lateral flow test. Bisoprolol didn’t cause me to have a runny nose but I had to stop taking it because of breathlessness. Maybe it’s the weather. Take care
Dear Sanpedro2019
Bisoprolol is the culprit to my runny nose, but what’s a wipe every now and then compared to the good the drug is doing for me.
Take care
Thank you .Mi nose runs everyday sometimes at the wrong time it is like a tap I am just going to still take my tablets ,but hope another Beta Blocker can be tried Merry Christmas 🎅
I thought it was the 10mg Ramipril that caused mine. Constantly have to blow my nose, but I do also take 1.25mg Bisoprolol, Edoxaban and Atorvastatin.
Agree with Maisie. If its recent, best get tested. Unfortunately this seems to be a symptom of covid. A colleague of mine had no other symptom than a (really persistent) runny nose!I had breathlessness with bisoprolol and a cough but no nose issues. But always worth checking out re medication side effects.
Hope you get sorted!
I too get a runny nose, but rather that than coming off the meds. I also think it’s the Bisoprolol and maybe the Atorvastatin. Drives me to distraction at times, especially when in company. I must be one of Kleenex’s most loyal customers. The extra large twin-pack Big Tissue small boxes are not to be sniffed at. Good luck and take care.
When I stopped bisoprosol and ramipril, my running nose, blocked ears and breathless all went away. Worth a discussion with your GP / cardio team anyway.
