Just checking in

Hi everyone just had a triple bypass on Wednesday, all planned. Feeling really well today, sat in the chair next to the bed.

I did feel rough when I came out of surgery on Wednesday, to be expected but improved daily and I can definitely say I feel well today. Onwards and upwards x

Congratulations on your successful operation and your recovery.

The first few months following bypass surgery aren't much fun, but keep up with the breathing/huffing exercises, the daily walk, and the shoulder roll exercises, and before too long you'll wake up one morning free from all symptoms of angina, and you'll feel so much younger, fitter, and full of vitality!

Good luck!

Hi nobo. Great to read such positive news. I am in awe that you are capable of communicating so soon, it is amazing what the body can go through isn't it. Hoping you will be home for Christmas and with your family. X

That's great news, just make sure you don't overdo things cos you feel so well, especially once you get home, very easy to do, I speak from experience 🤣 At least you should be home for Christmas too.

Best wishes for a continued smooth recovery.

Congratulations - I am around 3 months after my operation- same as you.Scars are healing, back to work next month and looking forward to Santa coming.

Besides still having sore shoulders- I feel fine and I am sure you will too.

Good for you . It’s even better when you get home . Make sure you follow the guidance on walking , exercises and diet.Had a quadruple three months ago and am back to normal apart from some mild soreness and numbness from the chest where one of the grafts was harvested . All scars are healed and just have to remember that the sternum can take up to a year to fully knot back together. Am back in the gym and at the driving range .

Enjoy your Christmas in the knowledge you have a healthy heart again and a second chance .

Congratulations. Sending you a massive amount of good wishes as you continue with your recovery. Breathing exercises, shoulder rolls, gentle daily walks and you will be amazed how quickly you recover. Keep taking the pain medication for as long as you need to. Rest as much as you need and raise your feet when you are seated.

Good luck!

Wow! Amazing and I’m both impressed and comforted in case this becomes necessary for me in the future! Well done and hope your speedy (but not too speedy - don’t overdo it) recovery continues 👍

Great news! Please take it slowly. I am now 31 + years since my CABGx3 and still feeling good at 73 yo.

The key is to do your daily activities such as walking and regular routine exercises.

Eat well and enjoy every day to the fullest.

Merry Christmas to all.
