Thanks. Have they told you the cause for your LVSD?
I had to have a second AVR op after the replacement tissue valve started leaking a few years after the first op. Second time my surgeon and I opted for a mechanical valve as between heart surgeries I had to have a splenectomy. The only medication I was on in respect of the heart surgery is warfarin, because it's a mechanical valve. I am on a shed load of other medication but none directly relating to my heart surgery.

My partner had a second AVR. First one was a pigs, second time opted for bovine. Meds include BP pills, asprin and low dose statin as also had bypass. All in all three surgeries as has op to stretch aortic valve at the age of 11. Best wishes
If you do have AVR , I'd recommend you get a mechanical one,
had mine done December 2015,
I had an "ON-X " carbon valve fitted,
apart from taking warfarin daily , touch wood ,
I've had no problems so far.
Like my consultant advised me,
" you don't want to be having this operation twice"
Lol,,,
I was back to work within 3 months,
(I'm 63 now )
