Getting back to tennis (doubles)!

Hi As my profile states I’ve recently had my 3rd HR. Ever since the first one nearly 7 years ago I have continued to enjoy playing tennis, which I have for the last 35 years. Each attack has been whilst playing. All the cardiologists have said carry on and I want to, but here is the problem. I would like to wear a watch/ band that would give me an warning when I exceed a prescribed rate. A lot of watches Fitbit, Apple offer the alert when you are resting but I cannot find anything, reasonably priced that will do when exercising.

Does anybody know of a device. Many thanks Anabale

I can't really make a lot of sense of your post to be honest, however most sports watches have the ability to warn you if you are exceeding a preset Heart Rate, if that is what you mean? I personally have always had Garmin watches and my current 245 definitely has the ability to alert you when you exceed a certain rate. I don't think it would stop you having a HA though, if you area t risk from one from exercising at the moment.

Have a look at the Fourth Frontier HRM called Frontier X. Very sophisticated including a heart stress monitor which can be set to issue warning signal. Impressive piece of kit. And, good luck.

Thanks. I have already looked at that and it is good, but rather not pay that much for 2 sessions a week. But if that’s the best maybe “I’m worth it” 😀 all the best

I play tennis post MI and I have an Honor 5 fitness band. It is part of huawei group and cost me £30 on Amazon. In the app you can set a max heart rate and it will buzz on your arm when you reach this. I find it really useful and I can slow down a bit , or rest, when I reach my max rate. It’s v reliable.
