I had my first pacemaker last November and my cardiologist said I need to have it repositioned as it’s causing me lots of pain every day. I’m very scared of complications after as just three days after having my pacemaker fitted a lead dislodged , it went through my heart wall and I developed pericarditis and a pericardial effusion , December I had three emergency admissions to CCU and spent almost three weeks there including Christmas . The bad experience I had is really playing on my mind . Before I agreed to having my pacemaker repositioned I asked my cardiologist if there was a risk to the leads , he assured me there isn’t but I’m still very apprehensive . If anyone here has had their pacemaker repositioned how was your experience and recovery? Thank you

Hi l had my pacemaker repositioned after the one in my chest became infected. l had my second one put in my stomach under the left side of my ribs with the wires going up to my heart. l love it and don't even know its there. lts worth asking for a EPICARDIAL IMPLANTATION. Good luck and try not to worry. Sue.
