Just crossed 6 months post 4 stents , had EF of 40% . Had stent done on September last year. Now I have first echocardiogram since stents on Monday and appointment with cardio week later. I have been taking medicine , good diet and regular exercises , brisk walk and active life except some muscle pain and bit of anxiety feeling ok ..trying best to do a right things. Bit nervous about my coming echocardiogram mostly around my EF. What to expect on 6 months follow up anything I need to be looking at and asking my cardiologist? Any suggestions . Should I be worried?

Hello :-)

I think we can all feel a but nervous when going for a check up after having these procedures but from what you have said and how well you are doing I would say it sounds like they are worked well :-)

The positive thing even though it may not sound like it is getting this check up which I am sure will be fine but if they did spot anything which I doubt they could do something about it

What to ask well I am not sure if you have any questions already and if so write them down or I always do as I can tend to forget but I would just ask how things are looking , are they happy with everything and if they are then I would be happy to and get home before they changed their minds :-)

Others will no doubt have some better suggestions what questions you need to ask but I hope everything goes ok and you will let us know how you get on :-) x

Thanks 🙏 Bekind-28 . Yes not knowing anything if that procedure and meditation has helped or not. Problem was hardly had any symptoms prior to procedure and that made it hard for me to compare if it actually improved or not.Yes at the moment haven't thought about any special questions only general one you Ve mentioned before.

Thanks hopefully I have some good news to share, will definitely update.

An echo can alter with its EF readings by quite a bit so anything above 40% would be a positive reading for you, but bear in mind it could read 40% and actually be 45% on another day. Best of luck and hope all goes good.

Thanks wischo anything positive will be a good news..and hopefully it l be. I didn't had much symptoms prior to stents, even though I am feeling good lately hard to tell the differences..so can that be a different reading on different days, didn't know that. Is echo or stress test more accurate in terms of EF. Last time mine was done on stress test

An Echocardiogram is more accurate than a nuclear stress test. Good luck on your test.
