Hi well done on your return to work. I had a STEMI late July, 11 weeks ago, was doing well and then developed pericarditis so a bit of a backward step. I am not back to work yet and have been feeling guilty about being off, work ok but feel they think I should be back. Whilst I really want to get back to normality I don't feel ready to go back to work. Your post has perhaps given me reassurance that I should not feel guilty. Good luck

You definitely should not feel guilty! Took a while to get my meds sorted as they had to change the doses up and down to find what i could tolerate. Everybody is different and depending on the type of job you do eill take longer before you are ready.

You also have the added pericarditis that you had to deal with. Your body will let you know when you are ready for work.

Im sure come 4pm on my first day back i will be more than ready for my bed lol.

Good luck with your recovery x

Thanks for the reassurance and yes has taken a while with my meds too. Good luck with your return to work and yes I am sure you will be ready for your bed after your first day. Hope it all goes well. I hope I will get to your stage in the not to distant future
