Hia guys finally had my results of my 48 ecg after 5 weeks of waiting snd the doctors are happy with it ! Can see a few ectopic beats can see 3 episodes of a fast heartrate but all in all average rate was 85bpm and the rhythm was normal (I was on 1.25 of bisoprolol for a few days prior to this . My doctor said I can come of the 1.25 of bisoprolol if I want to he also said im fine to carry on taking it if I want or I can take as and when if I feel like I need to 😒 🤔 and I don't really know what to do for the best ! Dont like the thought of being on them if I don't need them but they have definitely helped improve the palpitations and u had just got used to the side effects haha! I still have an appointment with a cardiologist in 4 weeks time so not sure what to do for the best doctor basically left the ball in my court x

If it was me I would be tempted to leave things as they are until you see the Cardiologist. He may agree or disagree with the GP but you will be able to ask questions to help you make the right decision gor you.
Go to see the cardiologist if you have an appointment. My husband in the area we live had to pay privately to see one due to the covid 19 pandemic and it was worth the money we paid for the consultation, so my advice is go if you have an appointment as they are the specialist as far as the heart is concerned.
Hello
Just wanted to say I am so pleased for you that you had such positive results and I agree with others I would leave things as they are till you have seen the Cardiologist and then take it from there x
Bisoprolol acts to slow your heart and indirectly it may reduce your BP. It is also prescribed to help atrial fibrillation and should help stop ectopic beats.I was on 2.5mg daily and my resting pulse was 60. Coming off it after a year (Which I did gradually), my pulse went up to 75.
Did I feel better? Well I certainly felt less dozy. But I'm suffering from ectopic beats or possibly an arrhythmia
Like you I have recently worn a holter I'm waiting for the results.
It depends on whether the beta blocker is to protect your heart or if they are to reduce palpitations which are bothering you.
Basically talk to the cardiologist
