Palpitations

Been to the doc and had an ecg. All fine. But sending me to a cardiologist. She doesn’t think it was angina. Carry on with beta blockers and statins. Probably an ectopic beat plus palpitations. Had a thoroughly hood check. Fingers crossed all good at cardiologist.

Pleased to see that you are being referred and not just side-lined. I had papitations when I was in my 40s, but being otherwise fit went down the route of denial. I'm not sure what my GP would have done about it anyway. Thankfully it cleared of its own accord. It was only when I changed GP practice on account of my wife having received poor service from the GP, that it was discovered that I had high blood pressure. Even then the course of treating it went down the path of medication and eventually it all came to a head with a heart attack. I do wonder whether had I been referred to a cardiologist rather than just having larger and larger doses of medication prescribed, I would have been okay.

I hope that your consultation comes through quickly and that you get some answers.
