Good morning,do any of you well informed people on this site know the difference between heart block and heart failure. The symptoms and the medicines seem the same. Any ideas which one is the least harmful?

Thank you

Thank you for a very comprehensive answer. I was told 10 years ago that I had HF but later the diagnosis was changed to total heart block.I was a bit confused but have just had more cardiac tests so perhaps all will be revealed.😀😀

If you have total heart block ( 3rd degree block) you would be collapsing and passing out and it's an emergency blue light job ! My late husband had 3rd degree and almost died twice before he had a pacemaker fitted.

I have 2nd degree block and had awful symptoms before my pacemaker was fitted.

Had a pacemaker 10 years ago which apparently paces 99% of the time.Just wondered why my fitness had deteriorated so over the last few years even though I have tried so hard to retain it.Anyway thanks for answering, things are a little clearer now. Best Wishes and "Keep on Running!!!"
