I am now week 10 post op cabgx4

I have a raised red rash on left lower leg and near ankle. Surgeon said probably allergic to washing powder but not sure as now been about 4 weeks and can itch at night

Any thoughts ?

Thanks

Mark

Hello :-)

If you have not been using any different wash powder to what you have always used it would be very strange for you to react to it mow but if you have changed wash powders then it could be that causing it

Have they changed any of your medications ?

Sometimes we can get a reaction to that

If it does not settle I would ask my Doctor to take a look at it

I hope it settles and clears up soon

Let us know how you get on :-) x

Thanks for your comments Medication is the same and other leg ok so don’t think it is washing powder

Will be giving a call to the doctors to see if I can sort it out

Will keep you informed

Best wishes

Mark

Hi Mark,I had that issue, it was very dry. I used bio oil on it and on my scars for about 8 weeks. It worked wonders. 8 months post Quad CABG.

I had a very bad reaction to my blood pressure medication a couple of years ago with red rashes that start on lower leg and spread all over. So def check it out.
