Thatโs great news. Good luck I hope it all goes well.
Great news, you will soon be on the heart mended road, Wishing you a great recovery.

Iโm really pleased theyโve got you in again so soon. Is this still in London or are they fitting you in at Plymouth? I have a vested interest as Iโm hopefully having my CABG before Christmas in Plymouth or London so any delays would affect me too (selfish I know). Thanks for keeping us updated though as itโs helpful to see things moving along.
Hi thereI'm in at Plymouth. If you get to go london they don't cancel due to beds or emergencys.
I really wanted to go london , transport arranged for you, own room , tv etc ( selfish reasons lol ) but I'm a type 1 diabetic and my diabetic specialist dr was happier I'm going to Plymouth as they have an in house diabetic team , but with nhs you can't guarantee your surgery ( not hospitals fault ) but what a roller coaster it is .๐
Also it would be great to hear your story , we can compare notes lol.
You can message me if you want to know anything I might be able to help with.
Thanks. I think Iโm well prepared now thanks to this forum. Itโs just the daily wait for the postman to see if I have a letter. Good luck with your op. I hope it goes well.
Good luck to you aswell
Has your surgeon at Plymouth got any dates to go london ?.
Hello
I did not think it would be long and so pleased for you x
Thank you ๐xx
Great news Barbara. I just had valve replacement in Oxford after 4 delays. It gets tiring. Just remember they will get it done Itโs just a case of the most critical first. Wishing you all the best. I am 3 weeks post op and despite managing my chest I feel amazing xxx
Fingers crossed you get the date this time, Good Luck๐ค
Youโll be brand new after it !Photo of my weeks walking on Fitbit, seven months after Quad CABG
Oh wow , that's amazing , well done you .I currently walk for 30 minutes aday on my treadmill.
It's so encouraging to hear of people's recovery. Can I ask how you put a pic on here ?. I've tried a few times and it didn't work.
I will try now and see what happens. Xx
Oh it worked lol x
What a gorgeous photo! Hope everything goes well for you. My hubby had to put up with a few cancellations when he had his quad bypass in Coventry.I'm Type 1 diabetic (35 years) and the times I've been in hospital, they manage insulin dosage really well (Much better than me!!).
Keep us posted. Sending love and hugs. Jan xxx
Great news, Barbara, we await your post-op report in due course! Xx
Morning that's good newshaving my CAGB 9sep
Hi , I've just looked back to when I commented on your last post and you said yours was on the 9th. At the time , mine was on the 5th, but now mines the 9th aswell. Here's hoping great success and recovery for us both ๐
Hello what hospital are you having your op . Mine is at st George's hospital in London
Mine is at derriford Plymouth . It's an hour away , it's the nearest one that does heart surgery. When I was meant to have my op in July it was in a private hospital in London .
My surgeon in Plymouth goes to London every so often to get the waiting lists down ( I think ). Because of a cough I got they couldn't go ahead so I was put back on the Plymouth waiting lists and since then , my surgeon has not gone back to London.
Hello My hospital st George's is again about an hour away have a couple of choices if I get the bus it takes just over an hour as it goes round the houses the other choice is by train which takes even longer hopefully my other half will take me by car which we can do do in about 40 minutes also I have discovered that the surgeon also travels so one of my local hospitals he's day clinics but anyway that's me for now speak soon Michael
Good news, not that bad to only wait 4 days more.๐
Good luck with your surgery. You'll soon be on the road to recovery x x
Excellent. September is a lovely month to have it done. Will be my 6th anniversary o the 25th. And you'll be right for Christmas(it comes sooner than you think). Good luck. x
I think my mind works in strange ways. When I read the title of your post, I thought you were going to be asking for advice about how far to go on a 3rd date!!!
Hope all goes well for you on the day!
Gosh Barbara, they don't half keep you on the hop ! It's good you've got less time to wait, & you'll soon be through it and getting better xx ( Lynda )
All the best with your surgery. You are doing well keeping exercise up. Beautiful countryside walks. Take care. Moni
