Hi I am new to the group as very newly diagnosed with Coronary heart disease along with Type 2 diabetic. I’ve been getting on with as best I can, but have developed Anxiety and panic attacks which come out of nowhere!!??!! In the last couple of months (on and off) I suddenly feel really sick as if my blood sugars are in my boots. I always check and they have been fine. But Thursday I was in the hair dressers and suddenly felt unwell, I was with a friend who drove me home. Once in the car I was earging and as soon as the feeling it came it went?? The same thing happened today, but my friend did have to pull over and I was sick this time, nothing but water/ bile. As soon as I was sick I was fine again, the drive home had no issues.
Sorry for the long question, but does anyone else suffer with these symptoms. Any help or advice would be great full. I will be calling the Gp for advice tomorrow.
Many thanks
X

You do not mention what drugs you are but hypotension can cause dizziness and/or nausea. Whilst I did not suffer panic attacks it did make me feel ill at ease when anti-anginals were added to my medication.
There is also a diabetic comication called gastroparesis but I think it unlikely so early in your diabetes journey. I am assuming you were only diagnosed in recent years.
Well all I can tell you is my ex used to feel this way. Then one day when it happened when we were out, I insisted he was going to either the doctors or A&E. He chose the doctors, once there an ambulance was called to take him to hospital, where he had an angiogram and a stent inserted. Please talk to your GP .
My husband gets this. He’s not diabetic but it’s almost as if he is and he eats a snack bar and then instantly feels ok. I try to remind him to have a mid morning snack daily just to prevent this happening.
Thank you so much for your advice everyone. Yes I had my heart attack on the 18th March this year and diagnosed type 2 diabetic on the 19th. Stent fitted of the 22nd March 21. Just waiting for a call back from the go.
