Very good news - it may take a few weeks to actually be seen but at least you're being heard and resolution is being sought. Be sure to keep us updated as you go along:)

Is there anyone that can go with you?

Helly75 profile image

I dont think anyone is allowed to come with me because of covid ,all visiting for inpatients here has been stopped too

jerry12953 profile image

That may be the case, but could you make enquiries? Good luck, anyway!

Hiya what good news πŸ‘πŸ»

When you see your cardiologist make it count

Tell him nicely how you have suffered

And excactly how you have felt fed up and disappointed and scared

I’ve spent years just smiling and taking everything in my stride

As the doctor said I just take it like it is

I didn’t ask questions until now

I asked for a referral to the royal Brompton as things had changed and my doctor thought I was fine

Anyway

I was 20 years with the same doctor

8 months with the royal Brompton and I have a Icd after sorting out 24,900 extra heart beats that my previous cardiologist thought was ok to leave till the next year when I would see him next

They discovered I had a rhythm that contributed towards sudden death

I can’t help but think if they had not sorted out my extra heartbeat then how would they have found this rhythm

So I now say it like it is very nicely

I lost a little grandson 15 years ago he was 7 months old when he died

But every one thought they new best We took him everywhere hospital three times doctors many times he died of a heart attack

But he did not need to die he could have been treated had some one listened to me and my daughter

So I learned the hard way I trusted doctors thought they new best

My GP said Alex died because he was a little smiler so they did not know he was ill

I’m afraid I’ve gone through life much the same always smiling but did feel I had to take charge myself this time πŸ˜ƒand it worked might just have saved my life

So ask some direct questions and try and get all your answers πŸ‘πŸ»

So sorry to hear what your family has been through, when we have very little experience of doctors I think we just automatically trust every word they say ,its taken me 3 years feeling like I'd gone insane & being told I'm just depressed but we all know ourselves and should trust our own instinct when things arent right. I cant imagine the pain you & your daughter went through losing baby Alex ,so very very sad 😞

I went through something similar with my daughter one doctor brushed her off another years later took seriously managed to refer to specialist who had her in in a month said at risk of sudden death and did a ablation .... fortunate her congenital heart condition had treatment that so far as worked. All my warmest regards to you and your family thinking of you and what you have suffered as a family.

I'm having problems with management of my condition I'm a smiling person polite , sometimes we have to keep pushing........ thanks for sharing your experience it's an so important message for us all

All the bestx

I’m never rude but all of a sudden I don’t take life fir granted It’s really important we all get the care we need and deserve

And there is nothing nicer when someone has the time to take care and do there jobs probably

So hospital are better equipped to do that

It’s important to get the help we need but also to remember all our NHS are doing their best sometimes we just need to pour them in the right direction or take ourselves in a different direction

But remember to always be nice to each other πŸ˜˜πŸ‘πŸ»

Yes I never think being polite is a weakness but a grace and to be grateful for all those doctors who save our lives tirelessly every day and on whom we depend when things go belly up!I'm certainly grateful for mine!

My g.p is one in a million...........and my hospital s .if you have a rare condition it can be hard for them !

Always good to be kind can always ask for second opinion if you get the chance!?

Understand what you saying

All the best xxxxx

Thank you 😘Get writing your questions πŸ‘πŸ»This is you time your stage πŸ˜†if you cry then just ask the doctor to read them

But this appointment is all about you πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜˜like you say you have been through a lot tell him other wise he won’t know and I’m sure he’ll be on your side πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜˜
