Heart Attack and Meds Recovery

Now over a year since I had a very mild heart attack followed by 2 stents being fitted. Been on several meds a day which whilst now no longer giving me any pain side effects, I have lost a lot of muscle which I’m hoping to rebuild. Do a daily fast walk of about 2 miles every morning. Should I be eating muscle building food peanuts, and egg breakfast before or after the walk.

In my opinion before. After exercise I was always advised to have a glass of milk and/or banana. (That was before my HA but I would think it’s even more important now).

For muscle gain definitely 30-60 mins post workout.

Sounds good to me.

Remember to have some 'fuel' before your workout too.

Noticed that you're walking in the morning, in which case eating before is not so easy and is less important for muscle growth than post workout when the muscles need to replace nutrients.
