Online appointment

Hi, I have my annual check up next month with Royal Brompton congenital consultant but understand that this is to be online.

What happens about tests do you thinkas I have not had appointments for these? Maybe I don't have them.

I didn't have an appointment last year and it was a relieve in one way as I spend absolutely ages worrying about them.

I have had a vidio appointment with Brompton which is more than I have here where I live in east sussex. All I get is telephone chat which is not much useas they can niether see or examine you.If you live to far away to attend because of covid Brompton will likely suggest to your gp to arrange any tests you may need then send your results to them.

Hi when you have your telephone appointment the doctor will put things in place for your test If not just ask him

I had an online appointment then a defibrillator fitted all at the Brompton

They said on the telephone call they would send me a appointment for test

Treadmill test , echo monitor fitted for 48 hrs and blood test etc

So on your ca you may get the answers

I have my appointment for September

I’m at the Brompton. Are you under the inherited cardiac conditions team? If so, give them a ring and ask about echos, ECG, bloods. Myself and my children have had video appointments fairly recently. They were all easy to do and much better than a hospital appointment. But we did go in for the various physical checks beforehand.
