Hi,
I just wanted to know if anyone has developed a peripheral neuropathy while on statin therapy, particularly Rousovastatin?
Cheers 😊

No
On occasion I suffer from peripheral neuropathy which was initially caused by a near fatal reaction to antibiotics. After an horrendous couple of years it settled down but it does flare up.
After two weeks on a cocktail of medicines including a large dose statin I rapidly developed horrendous nerve pain. I recognised the symptoms. I stopped the statins along with the blood pressure meds and beta blockers and the pain subsided over several weeks as my nerves began to heal. It is a pattern I have seen repeated with a broad spectrum of medications.
YES. Both my General Physician and Cardiologist doubt there was a connection btwn neuropathy and statin. I remain convinced. I changed statins then dropped them all together but the damage was done. Now I live with the pain in my feet/toes. I switched to a non-stain alternative called Repatha. Thanks for the post.
I am on the same statin and suffer from peripheral neuropathy, which I think may be due to the drug
