Suspected Angina

Hi everyone, can anyone tell me if they have experienced Angina pain post bypass surgery please? Mum mum had Quadrupled bypass in December 2020 but is in A&E now and the said they suspected Angina. Thanks for your help

Hi. I hope your mum is ok. I believe you can still get angina pain after bypass surgery, bypass surgery will do the bigger arteries in your heart but you have lots of smaller ones too that can cause angina. I’m sure she’s in the best place and will get accessed and treated accordingly. Best wishes to your mum

Yes I do occasionally after having OHS. I take Isosorbide Mononitrate 20mg and have a GTN Spray as well. As already said though, she is in the right place and they will sort it! 😀😃

Hopefully your mum is ok and is being well looked after and they will find out what is wrong and sort it for her. I had a Quadruple bypass in August 2020 by November I was having angina attacks again, a angiogram in March this year revealed 2 of the grafts had failed to take, hense the angina - now back on tablets and spray until the dr's decide what to do.
