I am on 40mg Furosemide daily, had Aortic valve replaced and bypass 2016, do get the dry mouth, but nothing else. I was told it was to give my heart a bit of help so it didn’t have to work so hard to get rid of the fluid.
Why not have a word with your cardio nurse, or even speak to the nurse here on the forum, keep trying your GP.
Hello Sinky67 I do have high bp and have recently gone on bendroflumethazide I too have same symptoms as you and no matter what time I take my tablet I seem to get up a lot during the night my bp thankfully has been behaving itself so is it a matter of putting up with the side affects in your case I suspect it’s to take the pressure off your heart sorry not much help just wanted to let you know I’m with you on this one😊
Do your legs or ankles swell up or is your stomach distended - these are all signs of fluid retention. At present I take 160mg of Furosmide daily 80mg first thing then the other 80mg at lunch time. On the higher doses it is advisable to have checks on your kidney function to make sure all is OK. Have you had an Echo?
Hi Shopman, my stomach bloats every night and the next morning it's back to normal. What is an Echo, I have not seen any Cardiac person since after rehab 02/2020
