Hi myrtledene. As many of us on the forum have found, you need to be your own medical advocate after any heart event. We all want reassurance that everything is ok but the reality is often different and you can end up feeling a bit abandoned. If your prescription states stopping your anti platelet medicine on 17th July, then that is probably what you are intended to do. This therapy is usually just for 1 year (there are exceptions). Check with your GP or pharmacist to be sure. It is not usual to have any side effects from stopping anti platelet meds apart from the fact you stop bruising so easily! Some members have found online rehab from the BHF helpful, but your regular exercise is just what the doctor ordered! With best wishes x
