Biventricular dysfunction

Hello, new to this group although have heart problems since a young age! I have recently been back in hospital had an echo and only had a quick conversation with the consultant a few days later about the results.

It was a quick convo so didn't fully understand what he meant. I was given the diagnosis of cardiac weakness and 'biventricular dysfunction' pending further investigation. I'm not really sure what this means and Googling gives a very wide spec? Any help would be great!

Thanks in advance!:)))

Hi. I’ve had a biventricular pacemaker fitted to sort out the problem of the ventricles beating out of synch. This has been very successful. I’m not saying you definitely have a similar problem or that you need a pacemaker as I am not a doctor, but I was diagnosed after an echo and maybe biventricular dysfunction is a term for that. I also had a tilt table test and a cardiac stress test, My heart is now much stronger and I can do much more than before. Have you got details of the other tests yet? Maybe your gp could answer some if your questions in the meantime? Take care.
