Ablation for AVRT

Hello,

Recently found this website and it’s been really useful already!

I had a couple questions that I hope someone might be able to help with.

I had an ablation for AVRT 3 1/2 weeks ago. I’ve been looking on the forums but haven’t seemed to come across anyone who has had this specific type of SVT. I believe WPW is a type of what I had. Just wanted to know if anyone else has been treated for the same and their story/ journey?

Would be great to get an insight into recovery times for this specifically as i am 28 and very much a fitness enthusiast. I’m trying not to do too much too soon but the doctor advised to wait 4 weeks before I push back to my normal exercise and I’m excited but also apprehensive to push my HR up that high again.

Thanks

@JAXDC1 Glad to hear u had an ablation. No, i aien't diagnosed wif WPW nor had an ablation. (Did read smwhere on web dat if my heart "acted up", ablation procedure is the solution...)

Same, round ur age. Previously been healthy all my life. Then had a sudden big heart jump one day while sitting dwn in 2021. Three days later Urgent Care dr told me lukz lik pre-excitation. Which i found out mnths later itz WPW/ Accessory Pathwy.

As i hadn't had the ablation, sori can't giv u any tips concernin recovery. But concernin ur search on WPW, yeah me too, think there is a lot on WPW on the web, but (from wat i found) therez little in the literature field on WPW. Mayb datz y my drz still hadn't diagnosed me.

I only know from web researches i read of foodz to avoid wif people wif WPW, coffee (sorri but not sori aient cuttin off on dat, antihistamine etc as they contains stimulants... so i hope u dn't hav any allergies where u need antihistamine as med lol)

One of my drz plan was for me to catch it again in an ECG... but i think i might hav the third type of WPW where the ~electricity travels backwrd via the AP/ bundle of kint, dat y my second ECG tooken in Jan dis yr showed up normal. So... yeah nah, dn't think i'll ever catch the th via da drz plan. I dn't hav palpipation, n if i do i dn't think i hav them long enough to show on ECG. The symptoms i been havin is just chest pains; heart squeezings, twist feeling, pounding, three consecutive knocks; left arm pain/ burnin, shoulder pain; one day i felt REALLY dowsy n also a couple of symptoms happened durin the night/while sleepin.

Think they say WPW typically affects people in young age. n u know wat if the drz keep tellin me the big heart jump i had originally in 2021 is not a heart attack, i'm starting to think if it was an Aborted Sudden Death then lol.

Anywyz, hope u'd recovered n bac up enjoyin ur life
