Hello, luckily I've found this community. I have been suffering from episodes of tachycardia since 2013. Lately, I have been debilitated by a string of episodes. I can't even walk out of the street before running to a high BPM and I am completely disoriented.

If it were me I would ring 999. The very least the paramedics would do is a full ECG to try to catch the rhythm while it's happening. Of course you could contact your GP and ask for a monitor but you could wait months for that
Thank you for your reply. I've asked my GP and I was prescribed bisoprolol twice daily. I made a call to my cardiologist, he responded a week later. I was put on Sotalol 80 mg twice daily for the time being. It does not ameliorate the situation at all.
I'm afraid this is one of those situations where you have to be really proactive and persistent. Don't hesitate to ring 999 when it happens. Sometimes it's the only way to get proof of what's happening if they can get to you quick enough. If you think that it lasts long enough for them to get here and do an ECG right away while it's happening, you at least have the proof to show to the consultant. I would also phone his secretary and ask how long it should take before the tablets have any effect. Really lay it on thick to her just how debilitating it is.
