Hi has anyone experienced the above .

It was last night it happened . Never experienced it before .

Rang Dr this am and he said could be tinnitus. I ended up having a full blown panic attack last night as worried connected to my heart as had HA a tea ago .

Sorry just feeling panicky and Dr I spoke to not really helpful .

Would appreciate anyone else’s views or experience of this condition.

Thank you ,

Sheila x

Wouldn't want to diagnose your particular problem but, I do experience this if I am in bed and lay on my ear, so try not to worry.

hello! i’ve had this in my right ear for over a year now and it drives me up the wall.

i have a really strong pulse in the right side of my neck (vein? artery? i’m not sure which haha) but if i lightly press it then i can no longer hear it. it’s constant and loud but i suppose the only good thing is that i’m able to do my heart rate without finding a pulse because i can just listen to my heart.

i have had high blood pressure throughout this and cardiac stuff happening. i haven’t really had the chance to get this particular issue looked into yet so i cannot say for certain if they are linked though.

if it continues and you notice anything else alongside it then there’s no harm in returning to your GP.

all the best,

hannah

Hi, had the same after open heart surgery, thought it was something to do with my new valve 😂 saw my GP it’s a form of tinnitus, it’s 4 years on and only get it now very occasionally. At the beginning it drove me nuts, if the house was very quite there it was I hated closing my eyes for sleep my heart sounded so loud, after a few months it would sound like boots marching on cobblestones, but now as I said it’s only very occasionally.Try not to worry, I know it’s awful, especially at night.

Best wishes Pauline
