I ended up back in A&E yesterday , I’d had a lot of pain by my pacemaker so I called 111 for advice , they said a GP would call me a bit later and I should call back if I felt worse, I had a bit of chest pain so I called back and they sent an ambulance . The paramedic said there were changes on my ecg so best to be checked out . He gave me gtn spray but on the way to hospital my head started feeling funny , I wasn’t fully aware of things , they stopped the ambulance to check a few things and put more leads on. I remember them saying GCS score of 6,then 3 . They called to alert the hospital and put the sirens on and sped off at top speed. Everything was ok at hospital , they are sending my blood test results to my GP and wait for them to call me. The cardiac nurse that I saw mentioned my ankles and lower legs were slightly swollen with slight pitting. She also mentioned it would be unlikely to be heart failure as it would have shown up on a recent echo. Slightly worried .

Possibility of the start of heart failure
That was a bit of a stressful night? How are you now? I hope things have settled snd you get an explanation of what’s been going on. Let us know.
We just never know what's going on with our hearts do we! Then there's always that little niggling question, is this discomfort I'm feeling a heart attack? It certainly sounds like you did the right thing by contacting the 111 number.
Are you in hospital now, or at home and how are you feeling?
Jean
Oh dear , sounds like you had an awful night , hopefully as the day goes on they give you answers to what happened. I hope you start to feel better soon . Let us know how it goes . Hugs n love
The paramedics weren’t sure why I suddenly went how I did, the hospital tests were all ok . I’ll see what my GP says at my appointment .
Blood tests ok, the result for heart failure was negative , only thing was anaemia slightly low but nothing to cause my symptoms ,tonight I’m not feeling right , hubby was talking to me and it feels like there’s a few second delay before I register what he said. I’m seeing my GP tomorrow as he wanted to check my pulse and BP. He asked if I had a blood pressure and pulse monitor and was surprised that I hadn’t been given one . Is this something the hospital give to patients ? Looking into buying one now
