Diagnosed with Stable Angina December 2019. Just been to see cardiac specialist after having an angiogram and Treadmill test last March. Angiogram shows blocked LAD, but heart has done its own bypass to take the blood to the other side of blockage and specialist happy with this. The treadmill test showed ST depression and was curtailed after about 5 minutes. Specialist wants me to have a nuclear test, to see if there is any cell damage in heart and possible need for stents in the heart . Has anyone had similar experience, and how are you getting on with it.

I had ST depression during the treadmill test and it was stopped after 7 mins. I had no chest pain but this finding is consistent CAD and ischemia. An angio followed which showed 80% and 90% blockages, both were stented. An echo the next day before discharge showed some stunning of the left ventricle from the ischemia which hopefully has recovered now the blockages have been cleared. The nuclear test should show if the bypassed area is receiving enough blood from the new vessel.
Hi, how old are you? What doctor said about colateral artery ? Is it enough to avoid future bypass ?
