It’s fine. Many people in this forum will have had it. Haven’t heard about HAs but don’t believe Doc Goggle and stick with BHF 😀

I am going to disconnect you from Dr Google as it gives people a lot of out-of-date information and, at times, total rubbish! The nuclear scan has negligible risks. If you are prone to angina you may get some mild chest pain and very occasionally people get a mild, but treatable, reaction to the radioactive marker. Usually the test is not carried out if someone is pregnant and a few days worth of milk stored if breast-feeding. You will not glow green in the dark afterwards!

Thank michael must admit put smile on me with last comment yes dr google is not for a worrier like me but that’s the way i am I like your positive attitude and like reading your advice

I hope you don't mind my asking you to clarify - are you confirming you intend to carry on using "Google search" because you know the risks but like to worry?

I mean I will try not to google as much as I do and ask in the forum because most of us have had the same issues and experiences

in reply to Yasyass

The point I am trying to clarify is the information that google supplies has huge dependencies, some of which are money motivated, especially when supplied by a US source. Michael suggested you stick to BHF or may I also add Bing or the NHS own web support. Your answer again, suggests you will use

"google is not for a worrier like me but that’s the way i am" and it was that statement I was concerned how a worrier would continue to use a questionable source for such sensitive advice and information.

Hi

The test is in 2 parts one easy relaxed the next is stressed and it is over 2 days. If I remember correctly you just sit in a chair and pedal a little to circulate the injection. It was pretty straightforward. I think it was the only time, told to go and eat a greasy pie to help remove the injection !!

I do believe I was told not to hug the grandchildren for the rest of the day !!

Pretty sure I have remembered it correctly but sure someone will correct it if I am wrong !!

Which pie did you have? Beef heart with Guinness might be quite appropriate! 😊

I was brought up on a dairy farm and am a cattle man through and through. My father would never entertain either lamb or mutton. These days I still prefer beef and she prefers lamb. I tried a piece of Welsh salt marsh lamb once and that did not taste so bad but was slightly salty.

I only like the mutton pies when they are hot and when the juice is running

so I'm opting for a bar of dark chocolate.

Did they say any side affects I am wondering isn’t there an alternative test without dye

It is not a dye as such - it is a nuclear tracer. Without it they cannot tell now well oxygenated bloid is reaching the heart muscle. Do stop worrying! 😊
