Hi, I had a heart attack last October. And been diagnosed with oesophageal motility and recently I’ve been having recurring chest pain, went to a&e all tests came back fine. Doctor put me on tildiem I feel better can breath better less pain between shoulder blades but still getting some chest pain. Doctor doesn’t see interested in referring back to cardiology. I’m confused could this be my heart or oesophageal motility?

Oesophageal motility and chest pain
That is the sixty four thousand dollar question. I have cardiac arrhythmias and oesophageal gastric issues including motility problems. I have terrible chest pain which triggered many and varied cardiac and gastric tests.
Outcome, still dont know and neither does my cardiac and gastric consultants. I suspect in my case its gastric but its so painful and scary as it feels just like cardiac chest pain. I wish i had a solution i could share with you. Mine has been going on for several years now and is very debilitating.
Does your blood pressure go up during that time. Digestive issues push mine up.
Only gone up because i am stressed with the pain and concerned in case its heart related. That is a response to the intense chest pain. I dont mean acid reflux chest pain that is a very different type of pain. What i am experiencing is A typical gastric type chest pain or so i am told.
Do you get pain between your shoulder blades aswell. I’m on lansoprozole, gaviscon and tildiem which helps with oesophageal motility aswell as your heart. It’s scary not knowing exactly what’s wrong and doctor reluctant to refer me to cardiology.
Sorry not to be able to help. I’m on Tidiem and Isosorbide Mononitrate for angina. Also on Omeprazole for a hiatus hernia and this was upped from 1 to 2 a day by the heart clinic as they noted I was very tender in this area but do not experience sharp pains.
