Fall
Sorry you have had a fall. Its always concerning afterwards in case we have damaged a particularly sensitive part of our body. Why not give your GP a call or if you feel your heart may have been harmed then your cardiology team.
An xray at a and e shoukd show any knee damage. Good luck.
Sorry you have this worry, it sounds like the fall has really shaken you up.
I feel your questions need to be answered by a professional person. After 4 months I would guess your heart bypass will have hopefully healed, did you fall on your chest? Theres no point people like me guessing, please go along to A&E and see what they have to say. Best wishes
Jean
I fell badly about 12 weeks after my CABGx2 and virtually did a press up on the way down. My knees are still recovering weeks later... I didn't feel I'd done any serious damage so didn't get it checked out, hopefully you havent either- but you should get medical advice if you feel you need it. Good luck x
Hello how long since your CABG x2. How do you feel. Are you going to Cardio Rehab. Do you have to go back to see a Cardiologist. I had a heart scan on 1st April and awaiting an appointment with a Cardiologist. Heart Failure team are ringing me on Thursday 6th may. Haven't heard from them since Nov 2020. Good luck and a great recovery to you x x
Hi Bishop1, my operation was on 8 Jan. It's amazing how quickly my body has recovered, it's still an ongoing process but I can honestly say that now I feel almost like it never happened (apart from my sternum which I'm aware of at times like getting out of bed, and when I fell over ha ha!) I religiously did the online cardio programme (on the my m health app). It is very monotonous as there's only one video but I spiced it up with the BHF ones in YouTube. I also walk every day religiously. Basically I made exercise (and rest) my priorities. I think I've been discharged from all heart services now, and just await a meds review with my doctor in July. Good luck with your cardio call tomorrow, let us know how you get on x
I fell at Easter - and strained my acromioclavicular ligament (between the clavicle and the scapular). My pacemaker is in that shoulder, which does not help.I do not think I fell due to low blood pressure.
My shoulder is still inflamed and painful - but I see my osteopath next week.
