good afternoon fellow hearties. iv finally got out of my home town for a wee holiday at the local hospital. ended up in a&e with unstable angina. feeling yucky today after loads of morphine and gtn last night. at least it’s stopped the pain for a while. hope it lasts. so verdict is off to the cath lab again but i’m stuck here until they can take me. haven’t a clue when that’ll be. hopefully be quicker than an outpatient appointment of 6 weeks. hope you all put plenty of posts up to keep me occupied. have a lovely weekend all. i won’t pass on the usual holiday sentiment of wish you were here because it’s the last place we all want to be. keep safe and well everyone❤️shiona

Hello so sorry your in hospital it’s not the best but the consulation is your being looked after which is the main thing have you ended up in hospital before because of your angina? They do sort things out pretty quick these days so I’m sure once your meds etc have been sorted you will be back out I would enjoy the rest relax and the other thing your not missing any nice weather hope it goes fast for you until your home take care speedy recovery 🙏

Hi Shiona. Honestly, some people will do anything to go on holiday! Seriously, sorry to hear you are in hospital on the holiday weekend. Hope they can speed you down to the cath lab for some answers asap. Wishing you all the best. X

thanks nettekin. i felt i was in beirut last night. a patient went mental and started roaring at nurses and smashed up his room. it was that terrifyyit triggered angina attack. iv never experienced anything like that before. i was literally shaking and the shocking thing was the staff handled it like it was an everyday thing. absolutely shocking. they didn’t even call the police🤷‍♂️anyway bit quieter. stuck in over weekend as cardiologists don’t come in on weekends. you have a lovely weekend and i’ll let you know if i need a hard hat🤣

Crikey, think your need for excitement is getting the better of you! What a scary thing to happen, it's not right nurses have to deal with that - they should be able to focus on what they do best - nursing. I am really just wishing this weekend away as I will finally get to see my 2 sons next weekend after almost a year. We have christmas, a 21st and 2 other birthdays to celebrate. Can't wait - so excited. Take care and fingers crossed you will be off to the cath lab soon. 👷 hat if you need it! X

Hospitals are soooooo boring ......hope you have plenty of distractions. Poor you - all you did was go for a day trip and ended up with a city break. Hope that the dizziness goes and you get treated well .... and the outcome is good news.Let us know how yo get on....

thanks frances. well had plenty distractions last night as i

was telling nettekin (previous post) but quieter today. loving the analogy about city break. pity it wasn’t in naples or somewhere more exotic than wishaw 🤣
