Well I've had my echo and although she pressed rather hard on my ribs it was all very quick and straightforward! I wasn't given a gown but did get some of the paper towel they use for the beds, didn't stay in place long though, good job I'm not bashful!
She told me that it all looked good so I'm guessing that means my heart itself is healthy? She said it will take a week for the results to get to my doctor - not that I have one as I seem to be passed around! - and sent to the hospital's cardiac unit so I presume a cardiologist will look at them. I shall wait until the end of next week and try to talk to someone at my practice about the results and what happens next!
Thank you again to everyone who reassured me on my previous post!

Glad to read it went well, when we have a heart problem, these tests become the norm! When I first had my heart issue it was a bit like being pregnant lost my dignity then too 😂.
I was in hospital for 7 weeks before being transferred for my heart surgery, I think they did every test going! Even to having cameras put in places that they really shouldn’t go 😂 top and bottom! My shyness flew out of the window! 😂
I know what u mean when you have an echo they push sooo hard on your ribs. Hope all goes well for you! 😊
Yes - the pressure on the ribs can be really uncomfortable but they're making sure they get a good echo reading so we grin and bear it! Hope everything is positive for you
