Good afternoon. I am a 63years young female don't drink/smoke I exercise and weight fine. I had a successful VT ablation in October 19 and have been fine until February this year. I'm on 1.25 Bisoprolol and Magnesium daily. I've started with thumping sensation in my chest and my normal HR of 57 has been dipping, some days this happens hardly at all, some days a lot. Feeling generally unwell. As I haven't been discharged (EP says might have to have the other side done in the future)the arrhythmia nurses arranged for a 48 hour monitor. The results show some Bradycardia and ectopics but the consensus was that all is ticking along nicely and the Bisop is doing its work. Suggested I see my GP to find out what else may be wrong (quite tricky as my GP only doing phone consults. I feel that I haven't really been listened to.
You might have to dig your heels in here and 'demand' to see your GP face to face having carefully outlined your reasons why this is necessary.I have done this with two hospital appoints. recently .It is a myth your GP is not seeing patients face to face as it would need to see a patient who e.g questioned a lump or who needed an internal exam.Make a good case and you will achieve your aim.
Thank you for your reply. I have now had a phone consultation with my GP which I found helpful. Apparently my Folic Acid is very low and which could account for the symptoms I have been having.
Glad to hear you are moving forward. Last Nov. i was in a very bad place with low potassium and low folic acid etc etc. Then heart condition changed for the worse and my thyroid started to play up. It has taken the best part of 4 months to get things into a better state so be prepared for the long haul as it is possible they may unravel other 'holes' in your health profile. I am glad to hear you are being proactive. ......very important.
