I had OHS in December 2020, replacing my aorta, aortic valve and a pacemaker fitted. Whilst my recovery is going well, I'm still getting pains from the muscles, nerves etc repairing which can be quite severe at times. I work as a landscape gardener and at the moment I'm worried about returning to work. I haven't lifted anything heavy yet as I don't seem to have the strength and am worried about the risk of causing damage to my sternum. Rehab are being cautious in their approach but I want to do more. Anybody out there who does a manual or physical job with any advice. I'm feeling fitter and walking about 40km a week and feel I could do more but I'm afraid to push it to far. Any advice would be appreciated.
