Doxazosin for high BP

My doc has taken me off Doxazosin as they make my bladder really sensitive. Running to the loo all the time as I get little warning of when I need to go. Been on them for years but my old doctor ignored this and said I had to live with it. My new doctor is listening to me🙏🏽 Has anybody else had this? Does anybody know how long it takes to get back to normal? I am hoping it has not caused permanent damage

Goals1. You have just provided me with a ' lightbulb moment'. I have had a bladder problem for years.😡 Was supposed to have Botox injections but a couple of other procedures took precedence and Covid has knocked that on the head for the foreseeable future. I too have been taking Doxazosin for some years but because of high BP my dosage was increased to 6mg daily, 4mg morning and 2mg night. My bladder problems do seem to have become worse since the increase. This calls for serious talk with Dr, if my Practice actually has any these days, didn't see one regarding the increase just a phone call, so it's possible bladder issues were not taken into consideration. Hope yours settles down soon😊

I have been off for 2 days now and I have noticed a decrease in urgency. I had a telephone appointment with my doctor and he said it is known to have that side effect.
