Hi DerekSenna1

Now is the the time have a good look at your lifestyle and exercise patterns. Is your waist half your height? Do you eat sugary food, biscuits, cakes, etc. Do you eat lots of fresh green veg, beetroot, celery, spring onions, coleslaw and less fatty meat or fish? Do you smoke and enjoy a steady flow of alcoholic drinks? Is your weight where it should be?

With regard to exercise, can you go for a walk every day along flat path for half an hour or so? Energy in has to match energy out. If it doesn't you get lots of sugar and fat sculling around your bloodstream waiting to be used as fuel. Eventually this excessive fuel starts to clog your arteries and is a silent killer, leading to heart disease and diabetes.

Determination and perseverance is the key. It is your life and your destiny. If you make the changes you can become more active and enjoy life for a good while yet.
