Hi, I had the same problem and shortness of breath especially when lying down. It turned out that I was experiencing heart failure and had blocked coronary arteries I then had a heart attack.
Don't take any chances get checked out ASAP!
It may be nothing but be safe.
As we’re not medics on here I’m afraid none of us can’t say. The only advice I can give is to get it checked by your GP or 111. Hope it turns out to be nothing serious but it’s worth getting checked just in case it is. Best wishes to you and your loved ones.
You should be straight onto the phone to your doc or A&E.
Chest pain should never go unchecked.
Hi, best get it checked. I had similar and was dismissive of it and turned out I had a 95% blocked artery.
I've called 111 in the past and they have sent an ambulance to take me to hospitaland I;ve been thoroughly checked out. Although I had a HA in the past, the twice I;ve called 111, in turned out there was nothing wrong. Be prepared for a possible couple of days in hospital though. MUCH better to be safe than sorry.
My first post here but this definitely resonated. I experienced chest discomfort when walking up slopes in my regular exercise but it all disappeared when reached flat ground. This experience continued - saw my GP and was referred to hospital for a CT Angiogram. Saw the Doctor 15 mins after the procedure had been completed and was given the news that one of my arteries was 99% furred and that I was not leaving the hospital. Got moved to Hammersmith 3 days later and had a triple bypass op. Never had any problems before this and was on no medication. Had further problems with Oedema in my legs and feet and was admitted back into hospital 2 months later for a week. On oxygen support for 4 days and required intravenous diuresis which led to me losing 10 kgs in the space of 40 hours. Much improved now AND my advice is simply speak to your doctor as soon as possible or just get yourself down to A and E
Yes, see a doctor. Any sudden and persistent change in your normal function should be checked out.
Don’t delay ring 111
