I take rouvastatin and Bisoprolol after a bypass. Thought they were giving me side effects so came off them for a month one at the time with the approval of my consultant. Didn’t change anything so back on them both. When I came off the Bisoprolol my heart beat went up 10 beats per minute and I felt anxious. I’m on 1.25 half of before and feel fine. It’s a powerful drug and can cause side effects

PS I’m also on Lansaproal which gives me a runny nose when I eat and walk in the cold but I can live with that.

Your question is very subjective as we all react differently to medications. A nurse once told me not to read the leaflets in the packets as I would catch the side effects listed! She was joking of course, but it could raise concerns for those that are inclined to be worriers.

Of the drugs that you list, I have been on a few. After my triple bypass I was put on Adizem for six weeks to prevent arterial spasm and had no issues with it, or indeed when I stopped it. I was not put on Ticagrelor, but have had similar anti-coagulants (Prasugrel and Clopidogrel) without any problems. I am currently on Aspirin and Rosuvastatin, both without issues. I have also been taking an ARB (Losartan) for a decade without any effects.

Worries about Covid are quite understandable, but the benefits of socially distanced walks far outweigh the risks. I generally walk 3 - 5 miles a day and have the occasional day off. I would love to be walking in the hills, but cannot do so to the current restrictions. Something to look forward to. 😀
