MRI stress test

I had a letter yesterday saying even though I’ve been on the waiting list to have this done, I think around 3 months !! Not sure on that but it’s only done on routine appointments only it’s a new test at my hospital and very popular, only a couple a month so going to take a while to get mine done even then he said it’s going to take weeks to be looked at and assessed then several more weeks to get it to my Gp to know what’s exactly going on. Sounds like it’s going to be next year.

I do understand things take longer due to the virus so that’s fine.

He also reiterated the bottom ventricle of my heart isn’t moving as it should be, very sluggish on top of micro vascular angina and coronary artery spasms

At least I know where I am eith things and know not to wait for anytime soon to get a date.!!

Oh Geez! Not looking like the next few months then? 😔

How you finding the new meds - any better?

I think there is an improvement as far as helping with the heart condition, few side effects which are lingering a bit. Stress is a massive factor in me having pain, difficult to avoid that in all our lives though isn’t it.

And I also have the Ora morph my Gp prescribed for me for if and, or when it gets really bad.

Oh that's good (aside from the side effects obviously!) 😊

I found the Tildiem (diltiazem) tablets at least let me have a decent amount of pain free nights/early hours but couldn't tolerate them 😔😔

Third week on Amlodipine 5mg but not really making a difference. Last few days felt light headed and nauseous with chest pain which haven't experienced before so don't know if that's the tablets or the spasms. Have to admit been quite bad last few weeks but then that could be down to the weather and stress.

Oromorph is that oral morphine??

Yes it is sorry, I just went by what the Dr said but knew what it was.

Good stuff, I had it in the hospital 🤪

How are you getting on, have your meds settled at all or helping.

I had no choice but to walk further today, it wasn’t a pretty sight 🤭🤭

I did sit down every now and again but as seats are few and far between I had to either crouch, hope no one though I needed a wee !!!!!! Or just sit on the verge of the nicest looking gardens, only the most immaculate ones will do for a pit stop.

I had a muddy behind, squelchy pink wellies, I was getting hot so tied my sweatshirt around my waist, hair stuck to my head, then as I got to my most beautiful a bramble lashed me in my bloomin face to get out of the way of a car, looked back and it was my bloomin GP !!!!!! Could’ve given me a lift and I’ve just sent him a thank you card for being there for me. Hence my pain now, serves me right but I couldn’t get away without going 🙄

Ninjanoo in reply to Fluffybee

Hey get you in your pink wellies!! 😊 yomping through the countryside! There's never a bench when you need one - I've had several gorse gorse prickles where they really shouldn't be 😵!!

Not much has changed really. Felt bad Friday but put that down to broken nights sleep for a few nights and spasms during the day. Then from Sunday night been experiencing vertigo in bed feels like room is spinning feel lightheaded during the day and nauseous. Have no idea if it's the Amlodipine tablets, spasms or what 😭😢

Still dont feel right today so phoned doctor and finally got a face to face appt at the surgery! 😳 shocked!! Basically they have no idea so have relented to have me in. Not had a face to face appt there since beginning March when all this first started!

Work are still being a-holes they now want a medical report from GP explaining details of symptoms, timescales of when meds should take effect and how long it should take if dosage needs amending along with likelihood of me going back to work when recent sick note ends. Crystal ball anyone?!! 😡😡

If they're wanting to get rid of me just wish they'd crack on coz this "are we aren't we" really isn't helping. No wonder blood pressure's all over the place!

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to Ninjanoo

Never good to get on the wrong side of a gorse bush 🥴

Blimey your work are being awkward, I know they need to have all the details but some of those are difficult to answer !!

Ninjanoo profile image
Ninjanoo in reply to Fluffybee

No I don't advise it they give you a nasty nip!! 😂😂

Well after having 7 months of sick notes they are now moaning about those as they have said GP not been consistent with her reasons for not being fit to work - took em long enough to decide! Wonder what they're gonna find to pick holes in me having vertigo on top of everything else??!!! 😱

Never a dull moment eh?! 😉

Hi there fellow pink wellie lady,

I got all excited for you just for a split second.

Then fell back to earth realising how long this could take, sigh!!!!

Better to be forewarned I suppose.

Still leaves you hanging with symptoms that are not nice and not really being addressed, more sighs...... 🙄

Still look on the bright side at least it is proof that you are actually in the system.

This is after all Norfolk time which is much like Cornish time.

It will happen, "drectly"

Hope today is one of the better ones and that you had a glimpse of the sun today like me.

Take care

Fluffybee in reply to Fluffybee

I know, never mind, I’m lucky I’m on the waiting list.

Yep, sunny all day it was lovely, good ole Norfik I shink that’ll raaaain tamorrraa

If you’re Ellie ‘flump’ I want a name too🥺 !!!! hang on I feel a name churning up, I’ll do a reveal when it’s suitable!!!!

Not sure I’d be medicated any differently, after the test really,

I’m now in quite a lot of pain as I’ve been ‘living life’ like people do.

Not sure I’m at the ora morph yet, bit worried about taking it, bit of a twit considering that’s what it’s for !!!!!!

What about ‘wellie flump’ 🤪🤪🤪 ?????? X

Ellie flump and wellie flump can you imagine the sight of us trudging along with all the fluorescent gear on putting the world to rights, calling on for you to say Hi to your grandson, I think he’ll pretend you don’t exist dressed like that !!!!! 😳

ellj profile image
ellj in reply to Fluffybee

Wellie flump I have an amazing vision of us 🤣 you are right grandkids definitely would look the other way and pretend not to know me 😂

We could have another problem too, I am finding the weight of the mud on my wellies is not exactly making the walks easy 👩‍🦯🚶‍♀️🙄 might slow us down a bit.

Love from

Ellie flump💖

Hi Ellie Flump, don’t worry I would say I’d give you a piggy back but considering our conditions I think we’ll walk in the mud and end up face down in the mud 😂😂

Could get a free loan of a tractor, pay back for the farmers cows trampling through my garden, and crank around the countryside on that 😇 would that be more suitable ? 😂😂

Hi Fluffybee I had a stress MRI this week. Yes the wait was very long... was just wondering how they diagnosed your ventrical problem and microvascular angina without the stress MRI?

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to Billyjean123

The heart not pumping or squeezing properly at the bottom was diagnosed via an echocardiogram, the spasms with echo, ecg and symptoms, my main consultant wants the stress MRI done to have a good check all over my heart and function etc as I’ve got significant heart conditions in the family, mum died at 42 🥺

Just taking all the meds now and hoping for best outcome .

Take care lovely to chat to you xx

I was sent for an MRI scan, I'm too big to fit in, I was in as far as my shoulders, that's nowhere near far enough to have the scan, whilst still an in-patient I was meant to be sent to another hospital for the scan, it never happened.

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to Its-Only-Me

Oh no, what’s going to happen now then ? Are you on meds or done something different, ultrasound ?

Its-Only-Me profile image
Its-Only-Me in reply to Fluffybee

They sent me for another CT scan, with various techniques they were able to see how bad my stroke had been. I thought it was funny I was too broad-shouldered to fit
