A number of people have contacted me to say we have not had a virtual gathering for a while. So as tomorrow is a Bank Holiday, with socialising and shopping not an option, I am proposing a Bank Holiday Buffet tomorrow afternoon. All donations of sausage rolls, mince (and mice) pies gratefully received. Start time 2:00 pm.
P.S. All talk of CovID and Brexit banned!

Donβt know will ask husband he eats them I donβt like minced meat π too sweet. Maybe mice would taste like chicken most things we donβt normally eat people say it tastes just like chicken!
That's very true about everything tastings like chicken, though I have eaten some strange things in my time that definitely didn't taste like chicken! π±
Yay !!!!!!! Cannot wait, I can have normal mince pies and gin and and and and what to wear !!!!!!! Got me all excited now π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³ thanks MichaelJH π€
Oh wonderful, Iβll blow the dust off my stilettos π get that slinky dress out, donβt need to pour myself into it now πππ oh I love this party, no tooth ache either π€π€
Nice to hear from you MichaelJH, thought we hadnβt heard from you lately and I was wondering how you were.Iβll bring a chocolate and raspberry torte, we need a good party to see out 2020.
I would love to join and contribute poached salmon and a big fresh salad. And a yes please to home made piccalilli. I love anything pickled. I also love mustard sandwiches - but I wonβt inflict them on anyone else unless you fancy one! Oh, and as this is my first one where are we meeting?
I'm assuming you managed to find Michaels mansion by now? And I'd like try the home made piccalilli please. We had some beetroot pickling but not sure it's edible!!
Sounds like thebest Christmas get together of the year! Are After8s alllowed so early in the day? Cold turkey sarnies and gluten free mince pies in abundance here!
Oh I do love a good sprout, not sure fried, just walnut whips not cold just room temperature so it melts easily, maybe some Kraken rum punch to wash it down nicely !!!
My long suffering wife will knock up a Yule log made with eggs, Cocoa powder, and sugar (nigella,s recipe no butter or flour), along with arla lactose free cream. You will have to be quick - , it vanishes very fast.
I may be a little late as I take next doors dog out for an Hours exercise every day and if I don't go he barks the place down !!!I have a bottle of M&S Clementine Gin Liqueur along with a bottle of Prosecco as a mixer so feel free to help yourselves until I arrive. I also have some Warm Towels to dry off Lezzers and Kevin that's if Lesley lets Kevin out lol.
Hands Face Space and 2m distancing so no Mistletoe this year but we will make up for that in 2012
I'm here (Internet whilst travelling!!) would it be naughty to ask for a double gin and any pork pies? I'd sell Kevin for a pork pie at this moment!! π
Oh Milkfairy could I try some of you gin sounds absolutely delicious, I cannot stand now and everything is fuzzy but Iβll keep pouring g in the gin just because I can on here π
That would be lovely, can really use a nice drink, the metal detector had him in hysterics, since his stroke doesnβt walk very well needs a delta to aid him, so the idea he could go out with a metal detector really set us both offπ.
Now thereβs that wicked since of humour! John had a an accident on board ship and he now as loads of screws and a metal bar in his leg, we hadnβt thought of that setting it off, now he is laughing his head offπ might have been the wrong present but itβs given us a good few laughs.
I had one of the old school heart monitors under the skin that set off shop alarms, I got used to it so made my handbag minimalistic to avoid an earthquake of personal items on the floor !!!!!!!
Oh no, I was worried Christmas morning as I did the same, hoping it was what I ordered, luckily it was his mataxa 7 star brandy, would offer you a glass, but the tight so and so is not willing to share it even virtually πx
I feel really guilty when I bring Harley next doors dog back covered in mud and they have to wash him off !! But they don't need to take him out again today
Yeah im real bossy!! π Its certainly been a Christmas with a difference!! Unfortunately, everything has to be destroyed π but getting my priorities right I did remember to take the bottle of gin βΊ
Oh dear Prada47 Iβm so sorry about the party and thinking you were a woman ππππ obviously if I hadnβt infused myself with so much gin Iβd have known π€π€
Ummmmmm donβt worry I didnβt think you were taking advantage I was more worried about standing on your beautiful frock π !!
Oh..... my....,, goodness....... I couldnβt find Elj aka Ellie Flump, then I saw a pair of brightly coloured boots sticking out of a hedge, sheβs had to much already, as for Pauline..... well..,,, thank rhat sherry trifle has a bit to much sherry in, look at her go ππππ kept her dancing skills a secret π₯³π₯³
Well to be honest I think Iβve had a few to many, I thought Iβd only bought 1 xmas tree but looks like I have 2 !!!! Do you like my red heels, love your dress π₯³π₯³
ππππππππoh Iβm soooooooo sorry I feel really bad now, will you forgive a drunken woman with a trail of chocolate behind me and maybe a bit on my face from my whips, so obviously cannot see well, weβll thatβs my excuse π€π€
I know I donβt know whoβs male or female on some people π₯΄π₯΄ well why not a dress itβs a virtual party after all ππ€π€ sorry Prada47 ππ
Yes, please, Q. *hic* I've just remembered I've got another bottle of the M&S Clementine Gin Liqueur, same as Prada's. It's actually a Christmas present for my nephew, but I've no idea when I'll be seeing him, and we don't want it to pass its use by date, so might as well open it now...
Oh I couldnβt find that one I had to get the rhubarb one π’ looks pretty though tastes good though, took a sip before I gave it away for an xmas present for someone πππ
Sure, I made two. Husband insisted on something more substantial though and said he's fed up of turkey so am doing an enormous beef stew and dumplings and just for once will have half a dumpling.
IT was good even though I could only have half a dumpling; I prefer them baked though. Made enough for another meal. At Uni I used to make a lovely rabbit stew and keep on adding to it for days. NO room now for the cake.
Sorry to be pedantic but unfortunately, like most beers and ales β Guinness is not gluten free. It is brewed from barley, which is also roasted to give it its famous dark colour. Barley contains 'gliadin', a component found in gluten, which triggers inflammation in the small intestines. However, as this is a virtual gathering any food can be whatever we want! π
As a general rule, I understand that the brewing process transforms the gluten so it is not an issue in most ales. Wheat beers (some of the nicest German and Belgian beers I seem to remember) are a problem since the wheat is added late in the process. Not sure about Guinness.
