Hi I had a stent fitted in Nov 2009 due to having high cholesterol and high blood pressure, I am now finding it very difficult to get life insurance to cover my mortgage any advice.

Have you tried going through an IFA/broker to see if they can find something? I was pretty much uninsurable at the age of 26 (not heart related, and unfortunately still the case some ten years later as a result of multiple health issues), but an IFA was able to find one company willing to cover me. Unfortunately, it was for an absolutely obscene premium, so I didn’t go through with it, but everyone else had said a hell no.
